OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY ADVANCED RESERVED SEAT TICKETS TO GO ON SALE APRIL 7th |
For Immediate Release - Ken Pelkie, OHSWEKEN Speedway
The long wait is over. ADVANCED TICKET SALES for this summers special events at Ohsweken Speedway featuring the World of Outlaw Late Models; World of Outlaws Sprints; and the 4th Annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals will open at 8:00 AM April 7th. Ticket requests will be taken daily by phone only (1-888-720-7223), Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Credit card payment in full will be required at the time of purchase. Tickets will then be mailed directly to your home.
NO TICKETS WILL BE HELD WITHOUT PAYMENT.
NO TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE TRACK UNTIL RACE DAY.
NO OTHER OUTLETS WILL BE HANDLING OHSWEKEN TICKET SALES.
“We understand the frustration that some people felt last year with the difficulty getting through when ordering tickets” stated ticket coordinator Cheryl Pelkie while announcing the opening of sales. “Some steps have been taken to try to make the situation more tolerable however we are still quite new at selling reserved seats and want to take precautions so as to not oversell. That would be the worst thing that could happen. I urge everyone to be patient and we will get to each of you” she concluded.
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS WHEN ORDERING YOUR TICKETS :
Check the seating chart to determine where you would like your seats located. Pick two or three options as your first choice may not be available.

If the line remains busy, please leave a message and every effort will be made to return your call when the lines become free. Return calls will be made up to 11:00PM that day.
Be prepared to provide:

Your full name;
o
Phone number (including area code)
o
Your street address, town or city, province or state, and postal or zip code;
o
Number of Adult seats requested;
o
Number of Child (12 & under) seats requested;
Once you have decided on the tickets you want you will be asked for:
o
Your credit card type (Master Card or VISA only) and number;
o
The credit card expiry date;
o
The credit card security code;
Once the credit card is accepted, an authorization number will be generated completing the transaction.
Your tickets will then be placed in normal mail to your address.
ALTERNATE METHODS OF PAYMENT MAY BE ARRANGED.
“Arrow Express” has stepped in as a major sponsor and will play a key role in once again presenting these feature events. The much anticipated return of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series to contest the 2nd Annual “Six Nations Showdown” leads the headlines for 2008. The event will once again include all of the stars and cars of the premier Sprint Car series as Jason Sides defends his title against Steve Kinser; Danny Lasoski; Donny Schatz; and the rest of the touring outlaws. The Tuesday and Wednesday, July 22 / 23 shows will each be full programs within the series championship points chase with racing scheduled to get underway with the usual 7:45 PM start. The World of Outlaws Late Model series will contest a 50 lap, $10,000 to win event on June 19th for the first time on Ohsweken clay. All of the premier drivers from the series including defending champion Steve Francis are expected to be on hand. Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM with spectator gates opening at 4:00 for all three World of Outlaws events. The final race of the season will feature the 4th Annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals on September 12 / 13. With over 70 cars in attendance each year at this young event, the best in the north east will be trying to dethrone defending champion Steve Poirier when the green flag waves. $8,000 will await the winner this year in what has become the richest 360 event in the region in only three short years. As a special bonus to fans wishing to attend this years Canadian Nationals, anyone purchasing Saturday reserved seats will receive Friday tickets at no extra cost.
As a special option, ADULT reserved seat tickets may be upgrade on race day to include a Pit Pass for $5.00 to allow you to get an up close look. Your reserved seat ticket must be presented at the “Pit Sign-in Booth” where you will get your Pit Pass after signing the normal waver. NO ONE UNDER 13 WILL BE ADMITTED INTO THE PIT.
