Autodrome Granby is
proud to announce the presentation of a premiere sprint car challenge
at his ½ mile dirt circuit. A 2 day racing event, which will reunite
the top 360 sprint car competitors in the north-east. Canadian and
American competitors will face each other in a gruelling battle for a
total purse exceeding $36,000.
The two day event
will feature a pre-qualifying round on Friday, with winners of the
twin 15 mini-features automatically qualified in the top 10 grid for
Saturday’s finale. Over $8,000 in purse for those pre-qualifying
round.
Saturday’s grand
event will see $1,600 purse for the top five cars in time trials. Each
heat race will have a $500 purse for the top 5 cars and a $26,625
purse for the grand finale. A $5,000 prize awaits the winner of this
event and $500 prize for last place.
The top 15 positions
on the starting grid for this finale will be based on a point system,
all points accumulated through time trials and heat races for the
Saturday portion of the event will determined who starts where. Top
point man will start on the pole and so on.
A $50 registration
fee per car is required for this event, it must be paid to
‘’Autodrome Granby’’ before March 1st 2012.
Registration fee after March 1st and before May 1st
will be $60. All registrations after May 1st will be $75.

Hot laps;
4 lap session
Heats;
3 heat of eight laps each (draw), 3 points per car + 5 points
for win, 1 point per passed car and a bonus point for fastest lap in
heat race. Points total will determined starting grid for twin 15
qualifiers. Winners of the twin 15 qualifiers will automatically start
no farther than 9th and 10th on Saturday’s
grand finale.

Feature;
28 cars for a 30 lap event, double file restart except last 5
laps. Top 15 established by point system, balance of field by B-main
result. Top five cars at checkered will go directly to scales and
inspection. If a car fails inspection, it is automatically
disqualified and looses all purses, no exceptions, following positions
moves up one rank. ASCS rules in application, ASCS gasket motors
allowed. Tires allowed as per sanctioning bodies (ESS, Patriots, URC,
Corr-Pak sprints, SOS)
